How-To

Sublimation Transfer Directions

MUST HAVE A HEAT PRESS!

Sublimation transfers are NOT to be pressed with an iron. Transfers should only be pressed onto HIGH-COUNT polyester garments. SSM recommends 65% polyester or 100% polyester for optimal results. Images will be subsequently lighter on lower-count poly garments. Also, light-colored material is the best choice. Sublimation only adheres to polyester fibers and becomes one with the fabric. It does not have feel to it and therefore is also translucent. Secure transfer with heat resistant tape. Place a sheet or piece of non-waxed parchment paper on top of garment before pressing. This will prevent the image from "ghosting" and from any ink transferring onto your top heat platen. Transfers are non-returnable and non-refundable.
